Sharing From My Heart

Two posts ago I challenged you to join me in a daily exercise to journal something sacred and something supernatural in each of your days during the month of April.   I wanted to do a follow-up post because this truly was a life-changing exercise for me.

Perhaps you will think “where is this going?” as I start to share one morning’s supernatural experience – but, please stay with me…  I am sure you will be blessed.

spiderApril 16th entry:  This morning during my devotional time a tiny spider caught my attention as it scurried across the floor.  At first I was watching it mostly to make sure it didn’t get too close to me than for any other reason.  But then I found myself cheering for him as he crawled back and forth – I believe in search of an escape from my view behind the baseboard.   He turned away from me and went a few inches, then up the baseboard, back down and then toward me again.  Finally…he disappeared out of sight under the baseboard.  Yea!  He had succeeded.

But, in that very moment I suddenly felt a bit of jealous of the little fella.  He was now in the framing of my house, seeing it in a way I never could, or can.  What would I see if I could get in there with him?

That is when it came to me.  This is a great example of God’s supernatural vision.   God sees things; my life, your life, and every daily situations from a viewpoint and perspective none of us ever can.  He sees ALL from the supernatural!  He sees me from the inside of my own body and fully knows my joys, heartbreaks, desires, passions and goals and fears.

God is INSIDE the framing of my house, my body!  He sees me like the spider see’s the wallboards, nails and 2×4’s that make my house.

This illustration makes verse 15 of Psalm 139 come to life.  I want to share most of the chapter with you because it is so much more real to me now that I have been given a glimpse of God’s supernatural vision.

Psalm 139:1 O LORD, you have searched me and you know me. 2 You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar. 3 You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways. 4 Before a word is on my tongue you know it completely, O LORD. 5 You hem me in–behind and before; you have laid your hand upon me. 6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too lofty for me to attain. 7 Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? 8 If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there. 9 If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, 10 even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast. 11 If I say, “Surely the darkness will hide me and the light become night around me,” 12 even the darkness will not be dark to you; the night will shine like the day, for darkness is as light to you. 13 For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. 14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. 15 My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, 16 your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.

Have a blessed week as you ponder God’s supernatural vision.

p.s. Do you have something sacred or supernatural to share?  I would love to hear from you.
